El Vendrell, we explain the first test of the Gravel Maxxis Series

On Saturday, March 2, the first test of the Gravel Maxxis series presented by Club Open Natura, Rural Cycling and Gravel Cerdanya will be held in El Vendrell. Open Natura prepares an affordable track of approximately 80 km, with 3 sections for those who want to measure themselves. It is an ideal test to get acquainted with the championship and the format.

In our web calendar you can easily access the website of each test. We recommend using the “MAXXIS SERIES” filter.

The first kilometers of all the circuits are through the urban center and neutralized, so the organization asks the runners to respect pedestrians and other vehicles that they may encounter in these sections. Participants must follow the route using GPS.

This sectional format allows you to do the route safely. No special stage will have any important crossings, nor any road to avoid. Shooting parts of the track without the timer allows us to group up, enjoy the territory and choose our rhythm without taking risks.

Below we detail the three timed sections, of which two are for both the long track circuit and the short half track circuit and one only for the half track long circuit.

Long and Medium Circuit (Km 11.7 to km 25.5)

Very fast section along wide roads between vineyards where the difficulty lies in controlling the bicycle when changing direction.

Long and Medium Circuit (Km 26 to 30.3)

Section with the climb of the day, with good slopes, followed by a descent with slides.

Long Circuit (Km 62.9 to 66.4)

The spectacular straight of the day's circuit will be a challenge for all those who want to make the most of what they have left of the day's strength. A straight line with an endless upward tendency.

Finally, I would like to tell you to pay attention to the networks, because we will raffle a registration for this first test. If you are already registered, do not stop participating, and you will be able to attend another event.
