Este año en la Traka 360K tenemos una plantilla verdaderamente impresionante. Hemos hablado con Gerard Freixes para preguntarle sobre los principales favoritos. Para Gerard son los de año pasado, ya que afirma que “hay un factor mental y de experiencia muy grande”. Aunque este año hay gente más fuerte físicamente, les tocará demostrar la parte más mental.
Os dejamos aquí una lista de algunos de los favoritos de la Traka 360.

I could tell you that in the last few years I have learned that you have to concentrate and focus on in goal in the right way, not too hard! Gravel and these races are unpredictable and also marked often by factors you cannot control! So I will face it as always with lightheartedness, but with the desire to give everything I have. Otherwise, I am fine, and we have been out and about in Spain for two weeks now, finding time both to train and discover new places. We are now in Girona and I can’t wait to leave on Friday!
Podría decirte que en los últimos años he aprendido que tienes que concentrarte y enfocarte en tu objetivo de la manera correcta, ¡pero no demasiado fuerte! El gravel y estas carreras son impredecibles y a menudo están marcadas por factores que no puedes controlar. Así que lo enfrentaré como siempre, con ligereza pero con el deseo de dar todo lo que tengo. Por lo demás, estoy bien y hemos estado en España durante dos semanas, encontrando tiempo tanto para entrenar como para descubrir nuevos lugares. I expect a even more difficult race this year. The peloton is packed with class riders and the weather changes everyday, so we could face some very tricky conditions on race day, which will spice it up a lot!

I am excited to come back this year with a little more knowledge and preparation than last year. I don’t plan on running out of food and water again! I’m excited to see the new course and that the women’s field is more competitive. I hope we will have a more tactical race together, and honestly I’m kind of happy to see the rain, maybe it’ll be a 15 hour cyclocross race!
Estoy emocionada de volver este año con un poco más de conocimiento y preparación que el año pasado. ¡No planeo quedarme sin comida y agua nuevamente! Estoy emocionada de ver el nuevo recorrido y que el sector de mujeres sea más competitivo. Espero que tengamos una carrera más táctica juntas, y honestamente estoy un poco feliz de ver la lluvia, ¡quizás sea una carrera de ciclocross de 15 horas!

My big goal is just to return to Girona and explore the dirt and experience the European Gravel scene and Klassmark’s effort. Of course I would like to win or podium the 360. But it looks very hard with riders who know the course well. I will give everything though.
Mi gran objetivo es simplemente volver a Girona, explorar el terreno y experimentar la escena europea de gravel y el esfuerzo de Klassmark. Well its crazy to see how big the Traka has grown and the gravel sport it self as well. More and more professional rider. It’s hard what to expect this year the lineup is pretty stacked with pro and expro riders. I will give everything I have and see how far it will bring me.

For me, being on the start line of the Traka 360 and put me out there to race against such a bunch of strong athletes is something I didn’t expect a year ago. I have no experience in long distance races. Obviously, I expect a long and hard race and a good battle between the strong women field. It is not only going to be psychical effort, but a mental game as well. A lot can happen in 360 km, but racing in my ‘backyard’ gives just a little extra motivation.
Para mí, estar en la línea de salida de la Traka 360 y enfrentarme a un grupo de atletas tan fuertes es algo que no esperaba hace un año. No tengo experiencia en carreras de larga distancia. Obviamente, espero una carrera larga y difícil y una buena batalla entre el fuerte grupo de mujeres. No solo será un esfuerzo físico, sino también un juego mental. Puede pasar mucho en 360 km, pero competir en mi “patio trasero” me da un poco de motivación extra.

Tackling a distance like 360 km is definitely a new challenge for me, but that’s what makes it so exciting. It’s a major goal for me this year. I’ve been prepping by exploring a big part of the route. I wouldn’t mind if there were more climbs, but probably during the race, I’ll be grateful that there is not much climbs left. Can’t wait to line up at the start and pass a full day of gravel riding in Girona’s stunning scenery.
Abordar una distancia como 360 km es definitivamente un nuevo desafío para mí, pero eso es lo que lo hace tan emocionante. Es un objetivo importante para mí este año. He estado preparándome explorando una gran parte del recorrido. No me importaría si hubiera más subidas, pero probablemente durante la carrera, estaré agradecida de que no queden muchas subidas. No puedo esperar para estar en la línea de salida y pasar un día completo de gravel en el impresionante paisaje de Girona.

I’m expecting it to be much faster than last year. The course obviously has less climbing than previous years, but the level in the women’s race is also higher this year. There’s definitely more strength in the field as well as more women signed up. My goals are the same as always: stay upright, don’t bonk, try not to get in any mechanical trouble, and just smash it and have some fun.
Espero que sea mucho más rápido que el año pasado. Obviamente, el recorrido tiene menos escaladas que en años anteriores, pero el nivel en la carrera de mujeres también es más alto este año. Definitivamente, hay más fuerza en el grupo, así como más mujeres inscritas. I’m expecting a crazy race. The length of the 360 is no joke, and you probably want to come in with a different mindset than your regular 4 hour race. However with the elite field of competition this year, it might very well be full gas from the start. The course is really dynamic and unique. There are some big climbs but also some long stretches of flats. There’s even some hike-a-bike. It will make for a interesting and spectacular day out for sure!
Espero una carrera loca. La longitud de la 360 no es broma, y probablemente quieras llegar con una mentalidad diferente a tu carrera normal de 4 horas. Sin embargo, con el campo de competición élite de este año, podría ser a fondo desde el principio. El recorrido es realmente dinámico y único. Hay algunas subidas grandes pero también algunos tramos largos de terreno llano. Incluso hay algo de caminata con la bici al hombro. ¡Seguro que será un día interesante y espectacular!

Disfrutar, aprender y ver que hacen los capos para poder hacer 360 km que aún me vuela la cabeza. He leído que va Stetina, Ten dam, De Marchi, Ventura y bastantes que entienden de hacer muchos kms. Itentaré mirar muy bien cómo hacen las cosas ya que al ser la primera vez que hago algo largo seguro que paso por mil fases diferentes! También supongo que el tema de la mecánica tiene que ser súper importante conservarla y no liarla. Así que lo dicho….aprender, disfrutar y a lo que salga
Enjoy, learn, and see what the pros do to be able to do 360 km, which still blows my mind. I’ve read that Stetina, Ten Dam, De Marchi, Ventura, and quite a few others who understand covering many kilometers will be there. I’ll try to watch closely how they do things because it’s the first time I’m doing something long, so I’m sure I’ll go through a thousand different phases! I also suppose that the mechanical aspect has to be super important to conserve and not mess up. So, as I said… learn, enjoy, and see how it goes.

This year we have a very strong team with PAS on the 360 race. Tobias, Chad and Simen are all amongst the favorites. Hopefully we will be able to help each other, but I definitely don’t have the same ambition, so I’ll try my best to keep up as long as possible and be useful in the group.
Este año tenemos un equipo muy fuerte con PAS en la 360. Tobias, Chad y Simen están entre los favoritos. Espero que podamos ayudarnos mutuamente, pero definitivamente no tengo la misma ambición, así que haré mi mejor esfuerzo para seguir el ritmo el mayor tiempo posible y ser útil en el grupo.

I’ve participated in the past two editions of the Traka 360, and hands down, it’s always my favourite race on the calendar. From the organisation to the route and the community, it offers a special experience like no other. This year’s race is shaping up to have the most competitive field yet, which promises some seriously fast racing. It’s becoming the norm for gravel races to up the ante nowadays. I had a decent result last year, just missing out on the top 10, so if I can break into that top ten this year, I’ll be stoked. However, regardless of the outcome, it’s all about the adventure and camaraderie. See you at the start line!
He participado en las dos últimas ediciones de la Traka 360, y sin duda, siempre es mi carrera favorita en el calendario. Desde la organización hasta el recorrido y la comunidad, ofrece una experiencia especial como ninguna otra. La carrera de este año promete tener la lista de corredores más competitiva hasta ahora, lo que promete unas carreras muy rápidas. Se está volviendo normal que las carreras de gravel suban el nivel hoy en día. Tuve un resultado decente el año pasado, quedándome justo fuera del top 10, así que si puedo entrar en ese top diez este año, estaré contentísimo. Sin embargo, independientemente del resultado, todo se trata de la aventura y la camaradería. ¡Nos vemos en la línea de salida!

Super excited for the Traka. I am hoping that the weather doesn’t hugely impact the race and it dries up in time for the 360! I’m just looking to get the most out of myself and be proud of my personal effort. I’ve been putting in a lot of volume in preparation for the race, and hoping I can convert that into a performance I’m proud of
